Bring an idea to life

So you have an idea. Maybe it's a product concept that solves a problem you've been thinking about. Maybe it's a prototype that needs refinement, like a nice enclosure or a custom PCB for a specific application. Whatever stage you're at, we can help you take it from "I wish I had something just like this" to something you can actually hold, test, and build on.

Electronics

Does your project need a custom PCB? Sometimes no — off-the-shelf modules can often be put together into a working prototype and give you valuable information about your setup before committing to a full PCB design. That early prototype might even reveal something about your idea that needs refinement. Sometimes yes — you might need a specific form factor, off-the-shelf components don't have all the functionality you need. In which case, we can handle the design process of a PCB:

  • Schematic design - translating your functional requirements into working circuits
  • PCB layout - creating printed circuit boards optimised for your required form factor
  • Assembly - Populating your board so it's ready for testing

In-house PCB assembly with Pick and Place

Depending on how many components are on your board, hand-assembling more than a couple can quickly become tedious. That's why we use our in-house pick-and-place machine for this job — both for efficiency and to make sure every component goes in the right place, consistently.

This means we can handle small to medium PCBA batches without the MOQs or high startup costs of traditional manufacturers. Our PNP machine works with components down to 0402, and is a handy tool that is used frequently on our own products and side projects.

    Testing

You know your application best and what "working" actually means. That's why we recommend you do the functional testing yourself, in your own environment.

That said, we don't just hand you a board and wish you luck. We do a basic power-on and sanity check before anything ships, and we design with testability in mind — including test points and pads on the PCB so you can probe signals easily. Depending on your project, we can also put together basic firmware or test scripts to get you started, along with a simple checklist to work through during validation.

    Mechanical Design

Does your project need a mechanical element? An enclosure, a mounting bracket, or a custom, unique component. We design functional 3D models with manufacturing and assembly in mind.

    FDM 3D-Printing

With a Bambu Labs 3D printer, we can produce parts in a wide variety of colours and materials, including carbon fibre-reinforced plastics for applications requiring extra strength. This is perfect for functional prototypes, enclosures, and mechanical components, both large and small, indoor and outdoor.

    SLA High-Resolution Resin Printing

For projects requiring fine detail and a smooth surface finish, we use an Elegoo 4K resin printer. Whether you need precision mechanical parts, intricate prototypes, or even miniatures for tabletop gaming (yes, custom D&D minis and Warhammer figures count as fun projects too), this printer delivers exceptional resolution.

    The Complete Journey

Here's what the process typically looks like:

    1. Consultation - We discuss your idea, requirements, and constraints
    2. Design - We create the electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and 3D models
    3. Prototyping - Using in-house equipment, we produce initial samples for testing
    4. Iteration - We refine the design based on testing and feedback
    5. Production support - Whether you need a handful of units or a path toward larger production runs, we can discuss the best way forward.

Having everything under one roof means faster turnaround times and the flexibility to make changes on the fly. Whether you're ready to start a project or just exploring what's possible, we're here to help.  Contact us to discuss your project.
